Saturday probably started off in HJs. Then I think there was another t shirt accident. I went back to Bumble in plenty of time to be all ready for the ride out. Was all calm, until I phoned Wayne. Voicemail. Repeatedly. Panic. Went to HJs. Not seen him there. Walked up the entire length of the assembled queue of Harleys, getting more stressed and feeling more conspicuous. No sign. Jogged back along the line of Harleys. Still no sign, very obvious now, not being brave enough to just go up to someone and ask "room for a little 'un?"
This is where the lovely CMA step in. Bryn had offered yesterday to take me if my Harley ride didn't work out, but was now nowhere to be seen. Amy somehow managed to locate him and get both of us in the same place, just in time to join the back of the queue.
Turns out (God all along?!) that this was the best plan for both of us, as he wouldn't have gone on his own, and I got to share the experience with a friend, and go on a bike on which I was well enough wedged in to hang off all over the place getting photos. And videos. That I appear to have lost whilst backing up very carefully so I could clear the card for the paralympics. Drat. Lets hope the backup back up worked.
I am going to struggle to not put hundreds of photos in this post... this one is just coming down the hill out of the MacDonald resort. I didn't realise there would be so many people watching..
Was fab going through Aviemore with all the HD flags everywhere, and the crowds..
I don't even want to imagine falling off in a kilt! But he did get the most waves, and laughs.. brave man..
Scotland just has the best trees...
Loved this one, and loved that I didn't fall off taking it!
oh dear, there are just lots of cool photos..
ok, so I'm obsessed with Dubvans too...
Quit now if you don't like photos of bikes in amazing scenery...
Coming into Grantown on Spey (via the sceneic route!)
The point of it all...
Love it. It's Purple. Gorgeous.
Most likely first Harley
Or I could combine my two loves..
and here the camera battery ran out. No surprise. iPhone out.. Would love to have this helmet..imagine turning up at skool lol..
Just a couple of Harleys..
Maybe I should take Gonzo out for a ride sometime..
Perfect friend for Bumble
Paintwork on this one was awesome
Phew, no more photos from the ride out. Had a lovely time wandering around.. bumped into Wayne and Carl, who were clutching cans of relentless and looking, not brilliant. Nice cuppa in the British Legion with Bryn, and a yummy Irn Bru ice cream hehe. The way back home (we were one of the last) was surprisingly short.
Here at long last is the video of the ride out..
