Olympic Football

I'd never been to Wembley, or the Olympics... excited doesn't even cover it! We managed to find Emsy (tricky when trying to communicate on tube trains) although, it wasn't difficult for her to spot me!

So excited that we were snapping right from the tube station...

Just WOW! makes Carrow Road look a bit small..

Not putting up the photo of us together as I have 12 chins!

Mum not impressed...

And the teams come out of the tunnel...

Gutted it wasn't Hope leading out the GB girls. I honestly thought that we would make it to the final. Especially after we beat Brazil. So much so I foolishly went out and got a GB shirt to wear at the final. Not the first time my faith in something has been tragically misplaced.

 Kick off USA..

Dint touch her Ref!!!

Unfortunately USA win. I had chosen to support Japan. I forgot when USA scored, stood up and cheered, then remembered and quickly sat down and tried to have a sulky face!

Typically the USA gloat and rub it in and glorify themselves.. while Japan honour the crown and bow to their fans..

Canada, Japan and USA teams line up..

To receive their medals..

Sepp Blatter gave out the silver medals... and got boo-ed!!!! ha!

USA step up...

Laden with half time purchases (glad I did as closed after game, and once in a lifetime opportunity to get the t-shirt!) we made our way to the tube queue. Which was the most well mannered, best sense of humoured queue I've ever had the honour to be in! It's now November, so I can't even remember whether we went back to Loughborough or Norwich after!
