Feels really difficult to do the blog at the moment, mainly because I want to be honest and say how crap I feel, how much God has let me down and how empty life feels now that Gill has disappeared from it.
But I guess I have to carry on living, and hopefully in years to come I'll be glad I kept a note of what I did while I was killing time, waiting for God to start keeping some promises.
Fri 2nd Oct - had tea with Chris and Elaine. Great meal, and scummy pie (no surprise there) and spent hours sorting through the Lego tub for 'interesting'. Main;y the evening was a discussion about God and differing opinions about homosexuality. Lots of good advice from them about praying specifically. The negative way to look at the evening was that essentially in their opinion, I am going to Hell if I have a gay relationship. A more positive way is that I'm not if I really seek God's will and find out if He is good with me being gay, and having a partner. I need to think, to seek, and to get more opinions.
Sat 3rd Oct - Ride to the Wall.
Not the best event if you really don't feel like being around people but..
Arrived at Donington Services nearly an hour early.. felt late!
Very happy when parking up this time that no-one did anything stupid and that I did not end up at the bottom of a domino rally.
Wandered around a got a couple of Munzees, and exchanged numbers with a guy called Chris from East Mids Bikers, who knew me from Go. Trying to follow Chris' advice of going with promptings and believing there is no such thing as co-incidence..
"so, I'll leave the car across two spaces, then no-one will park near me".. that worked well mate!!
Sadly Biker Bible still there when I got back.. happily, bike and helmet still there when I got back!
7k bikes on this field and in the grounds.
Tiger moth aerobatic display. Realising that the iPhone has a great camera, but not for zooming!
Dakota.. sadly I missed 'the shot' of it coming over the memorial.
Last Post.
Wow.
Glad to see Rob on my lost travels around the arboretum. And I left a munzee. Not so glad to get stuck in the jam trying to leave. Especially as I joined it just as someone's bike caught fire. Not a lot of it left by the time I went past it. Scary.
Warmed up with a book and duvet when I got home. Ironed. Watched England get mullered at rugby.
Sunday: Car boot. Earliest I've made it. No Lego though.
Finished A Walk in the Woods. Looked for Lego mosaic apps. Blogged. Now time for ironing and Ferrari.
Still just thinking of G.
