Friday 16th: Last day of my first half term. Good but very sad, because M left us. No more Ready, Steady, Go. :-( Longest run of the year on the treadmill.. only 12k but almost reaching the hour target for the year.
Saturday 17th: Parkrun. Was expecting rubbish due to last night's long run. So stayed within comfortable breathing pace. Managed to not get stitch, so could pick up pace at the end, sadly not enough to keep up with the guy I'd matched for most of the race up the hill but a good effort. Finished second female, and first in age category with a 21:20. More than happy with that.
Tried to get jobs done before going out, but time just disappears at the weekends. Pretty much got the loft changeover of summer to winter clothes done. Manic unpacking of bike lock before heading onto campus for the basketball. Campus has changed a heck of a lot since I last ventured on. Was very happy to be shouted by Chris from school while doing my Aspie 'arrgghhh new situation, what do I do' thing one entering the sports hall. Had a great laugh chatting during the game. I'm sure he is actually a Leggett a few times removed. Sadly Riders lost their game, but was great to get to watch, especially for free thanks to school.
Sunday 18th: Up early for car boot. When will I learn to not faff|? Delivered ironing then off bargain hunting. Prayers for finding present for Sarah answered. Can we have some other prayers answered too please God? Got some clothes for school.. if I can cope with wearing trousers that actually fit!
Awesome van parked near Bumble. This is what I want to do to the dash...
Lego time in the afternoon..
Then off to Sarah's birthday meal. Slightly late due to the rugby and trying to dry Sarah's present! Lots of laughs, mostly at the Beard in a Bag, but good bunch of people, esp Ashley who sadly was not in 'interestingly ethnic' wear today. Spent the journey home trying not to be sick. Unsure as to whether that was due to the stir fry that was selected from the choices of 'mild, medium or spicy', where me and the chef clearly have different scales, or the fault of the five plates of dessert.
Monday 19th: good 30 min run. Work at Clare's. Feels like forever since we played Rummikub. Failed miserably to complete to do list, before Linnets arrived for chips then into town to see Matt and Indigo Steady perform at an Acoustic night in some new Italian desserts place. Huge sundae, but cheated by the tiny amount of fudge sauce in the jug. Good chat afterwards about Facebook group idea.
