On the Ball City!!!

Bed at 2:30am. Up at 6:50am. Throw everything in the back of Bumble and off home.. to get clean and get my shirt on ready to be out the door at the prescribed ten o clock. Well, put the wind up Ma by singing OTBC when I arrived, and proudly showed them my clutch cover and did the usual paranoid faff before leaving, but made it out at ten.

No-one got the subtle 'Quai sera sera' post on Facebook, so had to be a bit more obvious with 'we're going to Wembley' ...

Fun and games with parking. Dad's plan hadn't extended that far. His reason was 'he didn't want to think about it'. Too late for apps to help us, but Ma spotted a lane and Pops charmed the vicar's wife!
Made it to Wembley Park, flashback to the Olympics..

One for Gill..

So Dad nearly had heart failure at the price of a burger and chips, and I kept disappearing to collect/deploy munzees..

Fantastic being part of a sea of yellow and green :-)

We went in the posh entrance.. was very weird being treated like someone important..

Didn't seem like a football ground!

Its huuuuuuuge!

Apologies now for the amount of selfies..

Jon and Jamos...

Into the cauldron of fire!

All being sick into a bucket.. at least thats what we all felt like..

And they're off..

Favourite photos of the day..

Norwich off to a brilliant start.. a sneaky beaky Redmond goal and then another! Can't be true..

More like the Norwich we know and love..

Took about 27 years, but my scarf finally made it to Wembley!

I'm sorry, what does that scoreboard say??!

Ah yes..

Catching up with the nephew..

Mother cheekily using my flag as on 'Old Lady Blanket' to keep her legs warm..

Always tense watching City..

High Fiiiiive....

We did indeed keep the green flag flying high..

We're going up, up, up...

We ARE premier league..

For the entire day Pops had looked nervous. He then progressed to pale and sick, and possibly about to have a heart attack. At around 85 mins he suddenly decided that not even Norwich could throw this away, and started to look slightly relieved..

and at 90 manages actually happy!

The team about to collect the cup. Seems strange that you get a cup for effectively ending up in third place.

Really like this about Delia.. we have an owner that genuinely cares about the club and knows the players.. not some Russian billionaire or some Malaysian thats never seen a football match..

Slightly aggressive high five!

Winners!!!

And there's our boy Stephen..

Why thank you Wembley

Come on... Let's be having you!!!

So. Amazing day spent draped in a flag. Even better with the family all there together. Thanks Pops and Jon for the tickets and the driving and everything.
