Back to Norwich for HT to see my boys, and get out of the bloomin flat. Can't remember whether I went up Mon or Tues after work, but whenever it was we nattered, then fed Syl's cats, then went for a walk that end to get a cache in a phone box, one by the airport, and finally got the one that had eluded me before at the Firs Tescos.
Another day was spent caching at Ringland. I spent a lot of that day getting scratched to bits squirreling into small spaces. It hadn't started well, getting stung on the bum as I leaned over to get the first cache by the river. Still, we did find most of them and no injuries too great. DNFs are always annoying though.
We managed to find what counts for a hill in Norfolk. At least that was Ma's excuse for a small whinge.
The logs for this one mentioned 'natural cover'. Yep, I think a dead snail falls into that category.
Ma eventually got off her arse and found one! ;-)
The obligatory Swan at Ringland.
On Wednesday we stole Jay Jay for the day. Weather poo but we were undeterred. Wroxham Barns has changed a lot since I last went. We made a Chaffinch mask and got an RSPB quiz, then had a ride with Peppa Pig, then went into the farm, just in time to feed the lambs :-)
This was much nicer than feeding some of the animals. I got volunteered to feed the donkeys and cows. The combination of food (exactly the same as rat litter, hmm) and mud and cow saliva was truly disgusting. The baby pigs all having their dinner was incredibly cute, so that made up for it.
Number 26 on the Top 100 Rubbish Things about being a Grown Up: Not being allowed to join in at the soft play centre. Boo Hiss.
