Lord Mayor's Procession

Back to Norwich for DATH. Although, Bumble not really ready, and didn't book in time to get camping tickets, so had to settle for just Sunday. Not a problem though.. other stuff to do. Like the Lord Mayor's Procession for the first time in years. Still cheesey, and I still get ignored by the people handing out stickers and flags :-(

Its.... covered in Bees!!!!

Was Elephants last year.. this time its the Go Go Gorillas trail...

And obviously Norwich is always full of limousines and giant octopuses...

I know its octopii but spell check didn't like it! And its not Norwich without Stephen Fry's beautiful face on the side of a giant ape..

Predictably, photos from the procession were mostly crap as we were predictably late! But I'm sure this guy is important..

and there was a flag...

And a samba band..

And Mum's friend somewhere amongst the 'when I grow old I shall wear purple' women... and yes, Mum did her 'ALAN!!' again..

They had a dragon.

There were drag queens..

And there was the one thing I went to see :-)

How cool is that..

Vader gives a nonchalant wave to his fans from the Dark Side..

A tad moth eaten that Ewok..

LOL. Any comment I make about 'Leia' will just be cruel and nasty, so I'll refrain. But LOL.

Poseur..

This guy has the coolest kit..

Iron Man was there..

and a bald, fat, short sighted Jedi..

and a guy who is so much the complete double of Robert Picardo (Doctor from ST Voyager) that I thought it was him.  The fact he then smiled knowingly and then posed for lots of photos indicates that he is aware of how good a double he is.

11th Norwich Sea Scouts still going strong. Although that's not Colin. And I'm still gutted that they didn't let me join. Curse the Akela knowing I was a girl.

Just weird and wrong.

LOL. Seems logical.

John Lewis.

Think I prefer the one in highcross.

More gorillas.

Met up with Syl and Colin after, and went to the market for jacket spuds scoffed on the war memorial. Then off to the Forum, where we watched an awesome show. Well, I watched it. The others had skanked me by then, but it was fab, especially when these 4 guys did Titanic to pop songs!

Best gorilla was at the Forum...

Can't believe the Mercury Phoenix Trust have made them get rid of it. Mad. It rocks!

Lovely ice cream in Chapelfield park which I managed to not throw up on the bulls ride. I did get my leg gored, and did nearly die laughing though. Especially when the young guy on the next bull fell off before it even started.

Quick run back to the car for the tripod so I could get photos of fireworks from the war memorial. Results weren't too bad.
