Gladis goes to Bristol

Went the boring way as I didn't want to get lost when the GPS battery ran out. Easy enough. Even made it into the car park ok (via the helpdesk and going around the barrier) and cleverly saved Ems a space next to me. However, Ems had not mentioned that there are two car parks in Millenium Square, so naturally we ended up in different ones. My car park had installed a ladder to help the Borrowers get from floor to floor.

Eventually got sorted and wandered off to see the sights and get dinner..

Stewie boat..

Irish pub for lunch. I'd already had a McD sub on the way at the numb bum stop, so only fancied a desert. They were on a 2 for 1 offer, and I couldn't argue with Em's logic of 'have two then'..

Came across a burly Docker..

Some workmen were moving this one around over the water. It had a massive hook on the end. Failed to get it in the photo, but did get a laugh when I said to them "I don't even want to imagine the size of the fish!"

Brief foray into some arty place for Em to peruse the bookshop, then went to M Shed, Bristol's museum. (yes, did get pencil from gift shop).

No ticket....

No ride...

Very arty I thought..

As easy as falling off a bus!

The Pirates! ship..

 Bristol's greatest export!

Dr Rich, Senior Lecturer... playing shop in a museum!

Another arty moment..

Somebody else had had a proper arty moment.. these were all amazing.. one part of Bristol had all these amazing works of graffiti art just everywhere you looked.. I couldn't find the star wars one tho.. but at least Ems was right, and I could name all the superheroes!

Cheese and biscuits for tea.. then bed ready for my early start....
