Brick 2014

The unofficial LEGO show at the ExCel in London... Everything was AWESOME!!!!

First (after Legoland competition entry and a free Aroo badge) was well over an hour at the Great Ball Contraption..

Then off to add to the mosaic... will have to get Pops a base plate and some 2x2s for Christmas, kept him quiet for a while :-)

Next was Brick City, all made by one guy. Loved the BMX racers at the Olympic Park.. St Pancras was Geek accurate.. including all the statues we could remember.. oh, and Spiderman and Zurg!

Lincoln Monument..

Westminster Abbey on Royal Wedding Day...

Next up, the Mindstorms stands, including the Guinness World Record Holder for Fastest Robot to solve a Rubiks Cube...

and then the trains...

Huge Star Wars models...

Hmmm makes my Walker look slightly pathetic..

I know its not a new idea, but I am sure than my brain can do this.. 2D I can cope with. I may start with this, but I want to make custom 2D mosaics...and see where it takes me, maybe I should start believing Ross that this is my area of talent that I should exploit..

No way I can be this creative in 3D..

Geek..

Hmmm.. custom build of my campervan kit.. now there's an idea..

Back to the Future set..

I need to up my game with my pictures...

Baby Choo Choo.. reminds me of Monsal Dale..

Natural History Museum..

Tiny Death Star!!

Dr Who meets the Aliens... Oooooooooooh!

Clever, and kinda messes with your head..

 Thunderbirds are GO!

Must do this..

Can we fit this into the West Wing?

Found him!

I want to do this..

Well, I can definitely make part of this..

Should have gone.. Menin Gate

Neat way of displaying minifigs..

Gonna do this with my Falcons one day..

Need to get creative with my minifigs..

Last thing of the day was shopping. I had hoped that there would be a proper Lego shop there, and I could get all my train bits for Christmas, having so carefully decided exactly what I wanted. Alas, there was only a Toys R Us. I had counted up my two pound coins the night before (to much mocking from Ash) so I knew how much I could blow hehe. Not a great deal of choice.. no train stuff whatsoever, and not a lot of SW. Very nearly bought Benny's Spaceship, but was having a guilt trip about it, as it was not something I'd really been after. Then got talked into buying something twice as much completely on impulse, just because it was the coolest thing there, and there was a very good reason to buy it right there and then...

Also got the base plate that will form the basis of Bumblebee's table.. alas no Pick a Brick..

Tower

fantastic Bumble trip last night to the Tower, with the LOPC club. Feeling strong, or at least smooth by the end. Some far too difficult climbs, but also some lovely ones where the moves just flow. The old feeling just comes flooding back. Also it's nice to feel like people actually like you and are pleased to see you, Steve is fab. Also the 'dirty burger' before going home, hehe.

Tickets printed and list made for Brick 2014 on Friday.

Day at work flew by, chats with Emily (listening while she ranted, then getting her to decide on my rope while I decided on her trainers). Last minute change in rope decision.... Am buying Duncan's.

It's Alive!!!

Coffee in bed, found a gift for the boys, church, tears, popped into work for the Mammut day, which was a tad disappointing, but ended up staying for 90 mins helping customers.

Finally finished the AT-AT in the afternoon....

How cool is that?! Shame the Snow Speeder can't fly around it's legs... now there's a stop motion challenge.

I reckon I have the world's coolest dining table too..

Who knew there was actually a table under there?!

At last... it's finally clear. Hard part is to keep it that way..

This bit next on the list... after the desk in my room... want to get the TV very kindly donated by the Sandfords on there before Christmas, so I can be a lazy oik..

Some of today's recycling..

Now to do Bex's ironing... some reward huh?!  Wild Friday night... no wonder I'm single

Nearly a year?!

That's terrible. Not bothering to post for nearly a year. I guess I could excuse it saying there haven't been any big Bumble adventures, as he is still not converted, and there was only one realy trip away this year. But really it's just laziness... and depression. Still just hanging on, praying and praying that God does something, and I have someone to go on Bumble adventures with.

I have done some stuff over the last year.. should get round to putting some pics up.. but am trying to make myself use time to clear 3 'surfaces' and 2 school crates, just for starters. The flat has become a nightmare.. stuff everywhere. Lets start with some photos of how bad it got...

Struggling to find other photos.. so this is current situation... and this is AFTER several weeks of trying to organise...

The mail pile is loads better than this time last week.. had a major blitz on mail and accounts (depressing with current employment situation). The spare room is also better than it often is.. has been full of camo kit on numerous occasions.

Hope to post improved photos before folks come on Thursday.. but looking at work rota that may not happen..
